QUEEN.
Pop has become all encompassing (brand, celebrity, memes, blogs, comments, snapchat, Instagram, news, fake news, podcasts, Kickstarter, and on and on…) delivered to us across 1000’s of channels constantly updated in real time. The result of this is that pop has been diluted, disposable, and our relationship to and influence by pop culture is temporary. There is no longer a hierarchy of relevance or importance. A Google search of “QUEEN” results in 1000’s of references and images catalogued under that search term. In the piece QUEEN references include: Queen Latifah, Chess Queen, Queen Elizabeth, Rock Band Queen, Queen Bee, RuPaul, Queen of Hearts, and Queen Nefertiti.GEORGE.

JETSON.
George resides with his family and his dog Astro in the Skypad Apartments in Orbit City, in a future with the trappings of science fantasy depictions of American life in the future, such as robot servants, flying saucer-like cars, and moving sidewalks. All the apartment buildings are set on giant poles, resembling Seattle's Space Needle; the ground is almost never seen. In Jetsons: The Movie, it is revealed that they live in the sky due to excess of smog. The Jetsons was an American animated sitcom produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions. It originally aired in prime time from September 23, 1962, to March 17, 1963, then later in syndication. New episodes were produced in 1985 to 1987 as part of The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera block. It was Hanna-Barbera's Space Age counterpart to The Flintstones.
